Hi,
Had a major electrical storm followed by a bit of trouble with the local utility restoring power, and quite a few of my things blew up. One was my Kenmore 665.13743k603 dishwasher. I disassembled the console and found the thermal fuse to be okay (< 1 ohm) and the control board had an MOV (V1) that blew up. I was thinking about just replacing the bad part on the board, but measured it and it was open, so that's not the problem. Then I took out the board from the plastic assembly it lives in and found a large scorched area on the back of the board and its plastic housing in the area of the relays. So I know I need at least a new board (or I have to go troubleshoot the board, but with kids and no time - screw that!).
So what are the odds that the heater and motors have died as well? The part number seems to be W10285179B, and you guys are selling a part without that 'B' suffix, which is probably fine. I don't mind trying but if you think it's likely the whole unit is dead (I'm not replacing motors, too much time there) then I'll just buy a new dishwasher.
